STEAK & PEAR CHUTNEY

We don’t usually have fish and steak twice in one week because it’s dang expensive, but the hubs really wanted to grill which equals me not having to cook and a clean kitchen after dinner, so why would I say no! He puts Tonys seasoning on his steak but I’m pretty sure the stuff has MSG in it because it makes everything taste fantastic… I opted for a healthier choice…The recipe is so EASY, don’t be afraid of the fancyness. Yes that’s a word.

Spray some avocado oil on both sides of steak (we used tri tip from costco) and season with salt and pepper, lots of freshly ground amazing pepper. Find SOMEONE ELSE to grill it up, it tastes way better that way. Meanwhile, throw in a handful of diced red onion in 2 tbsp of oil, sautéed for 3 mins, add a handful of craisins, cook for 5 minutes, add 1 diced pear and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, simmer for 5-10 minutes, if you want sprinkle in some red pepper flakes and S&P and done. Pour over steak and be the fancy cook you are! #realfood
